Govee Bluetooth thermometer
A cheap, honest thermometer and hygrometer that broadcasts every reading over Bluetooth. OAT firmware hears the broadcast directly: no app, no cloud account, no hub.
Govee sells many models and the listener hears them all, along with about 120 other Bluetooth sensor devices. Know what each measures: the freezer-rated H5108 reads temperature only; the everyday H5075 puck reads temperature and humidity but is not freezer-rated. How to pick a good one.
- For a freezer, a reach-in, or anything with metal walls, get the H5108: its body and radio stay outside and only the wired probe goes in. A puck sealed inside a metal box often cannot be heard.
- The common H5075 puck is the pick for rooms, greenhouses, and walk-ins where it can sit near a door seal or a non-metal wall and still reach the listener.
- Skip Wi-Fi-only models: the listener hears Bluetooth broadcasts.
- Multi-packs are the value play. The same puck works in the cooler, the greenhouse, and the brooder.
