Over a hundred free calculators and a plain-spoken catalog — the working surfaces of the whole site, wired into every topic and free in the browser.
Reading explains; tools let you actually decide. This section holds the working surfaces of the site — a complete grow recipe for each crop, a large library of free calculators, and a catalog of the components and products they point to. All are cross-linked from every variable, method, and crop page, and all are free to use right in the browser.
Grow recipes
A complete recipe for a crop — light, air, feed and root zone, stage by stage, with the aim, the OK range, and when to act. Read any one free; sign in to fork it into a copy you own, tune it to your setup, then print or export it. The same numbers a controller would use as setpoint and alarm — written for a person.
The Library
More than a hundred and twenty free calculators and reference tools — VPD, DLI, nutrients, frost dates, greenhouse sizing, and far more — covering the whole big tent, not just controlled environments. Roughly half are for field, soil, livestock, bees, and mushrooms. Nothing to install; open one and use it.
The Catalog
The components and products growing systems are built from — what each is for, and where it does and does not fit. It is presence, not a funnel: vendors appear here as members of the collective, and the site does not sell. Generic tool names across the site (“a non-mineral pH adjuster,” “an independent-channel LED”) point here.
How they connect
The tools are not a separate world — they are wired into the teaching. Every input in Growing, every method, and every crop links out to the calculators that serve it, and each calculator links back to the topic that explains it. Read to understand; reach for a tool to decide.
