Growers teach growers; the vendors are members, not a checkout. Contribute what you have figured out, and you walk away more capable — and so does everyone after you.
OpenAgTechnology is an open collective — growers, farmers, makers, researchers, educators, and the trade — with one shared aim: support and improve the food system everyone depends on. One grower knows what another does not; a researcher has data nobody in production has time to gather; a maker knows things an engineer does not. Put them in a room and they would teach each other for a month. This is that room.
Who we are
The library is open to read and use, and open to add to. The commercial players are welcome too — as members of the collective, not vendors held at arm's length. We don't compete. We create. We share. The whole thing rests on one idea: appropriate technology — fit beats sophistication.
Read, follow, and contribute
Start by reading; follow the journal as the library grows; and if you have figured something out — a correction, a working example, knowledge worth sharing — add to it.
The compounding
The path is simple, and it compounds: become aware, understand the system, build what fits, own your data, and compound it season over season. Every grower who learns and gives back leaves the next one better off. That is the whole point of a collective — the knowledge gets deeper the more of us use it.
