Privacy Policy

Open Agriculture Technology ("OAT", the "Collective", "we", "us") publishes a free, openly-licensed knowledge library at openagriculturetechnology.com. We are not a corporate entity. This Privacy Policy describes what limited information we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over it.

1. What we collect

• Server logs. Our web server records standard access log entries: timestamp, URL requested, response code, requesting IP address, user-agent string. We use these to operate the service and detect abuse. Logs are retained for up to 90 days.
• Account information. If you create an account, we store the email address and phone number you provide for sign-in and account recovery. Phone numbers are stored hashed; we never display them back.
• Search queries. If you use our site search while signed in, we record what you searched, when, and which result you clicked. This helps us identify content gaps and improve relevance. You can view, export, and delete your search history at any time via your account portal. Anonymous (signed-out) searches are recorded with an ephemeral hashed session token only and are not tied to any identity.
• Cookies. We use cookies only for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers.

2. What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not share your information with advertisers.
• We do not embed Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party trackers.
• We do not profile you across other websites.

3. Your controls

Signed-in users can, at any time:

• View their full search history
• Export their data as a CSV
• Delete individual records or their full history
• Opt out of search-history recording entirely
• Delete their account (which purges all attributed data)
