212 Raritan Avenue
Highland Park, NJ

Established in 1996 and open every Friday (rain or shine) from February to December, the Highland Park Farmers Market is a weekly open-air market and community hub offering locally grown organic and seasonal produce, farm fresh dairy, pasture-raised meat and eggs, wild-caught fish, homemade bread, and other food and craft goods from certified New Jersey farmers and local producers. Throughout the season, the Highland Park Farmers Market hosts special events including live music, craft activities, and seasonal produce celebrations. The Highland Park Farmers Market also provides a welcoming, central space for the public to access social services such as the Global Grace Health mobile vaccine and testing clinic, the Highland Park Public Library, and other community engagement initiatives. The HPFM welcomes shoppers using SNAP/EBT cards, and the Market is a proud participant of the Good Food Bucks Program, matching SNAP purchases up to $25 per week.

Before you go.

Markets change days and hours with the season, and the USDA directory this listing comes from does not carry hours for every market. If a day matters, check the market's own page or call the manager. At markets that take SNAP, you usually swipe once at an information booth for tokens, and many states match SNAP dollars spent on fruit and vegetables.

Worth asking before you go:

  • What days and months does it run?
  • Is there a SNAP booth, and is there a matching program?
  • Which vendors grow what they sell?

If you sell local product.

Coolers and display cases are where product is won or lost. These pages show how to watch them for a few dollars.
