Frequently asked questions.
Which USDA-inspected poultry slaughter plants are there in Colorado?
6 Colorado listings match, each with its own page and address. The full list is below.
Do I need an inspected plant to sell my chickens?
Federal law exempts some small on-farm poultry producers (the 1,000 and 20,000 bird exemptions) from continuous inspection, with limits on where the birds can be sold. Your state adds its own rules. An inspected plant removes the question.
How do I find USDA-inspected poultry slaughter plants near me in Colorado?
Use the county links and the map on this page, or open the full Colorado processors list and filter by county or town. Every listing has its own page with the address and whatever details the source provides.
How current is this list?
These pages rebuild nightly from their federal and state sources, and owners can correct their own listings through the claim page. An owner's word outranks the feeds.
